Shungite is a mineral, an elemental non-crystalline carbon, classified among organic substances in the context of healing stones.
Approximately 95% carbon, along with silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium, sulfur, and phosphorus. Common impurities include nitrogen, hydrogen, and volcanic ash.
The only genuine Shungite comes from the European part of Russia, in the Karelia region, near Shunga village located by Lake Onega. Some smaller deposits have been found in Kamchatka, Chelyabinsk, and in Africa, specifically Zaire. Shungite has been used since the 18th century when Peter the Great established the first spa with "Shungite water." His soldiers also carried Shungite, which proved decisive in a battle against the Swedish army when water reservoirs were poisoned.
Shungite is mainly used for disinfection, purification, and mineralization of drinking water, but it has a wide range of applications:
- Therapeutic purposes
- Additives in cosmetic products
- Protection against electromagnetic fields (EMF)
- Construction
- Ecological solutions
- Agriculture
- Chemical industry
- Energy sector
- Metallurgy
Absolutely, as it is an excellent meditation stone. Governed by the element of ether, from which all four elements originate, Shungite balances and grounds energy, providing safe support for meditative entry into higher dimensions. It balances the energy field, protects against negative influences, acts as an orgonite to transform negative energy, and reduces stress and anxiety.
Recommended usage ratios:
- For disinfection and mineralization: 170 g of Shungite per 1L of water
- For external use (cosmetic water): 500 g of Shungite per 1L of water
- For disinfecting and mineralizing water in wells/reservoirs: 5 kg of Shungite per 100L of water
Before first use, rinse Shungite under running water. After 30 minutes, the water is disinfected, and after 60 hours or more, it attains the quality of spring water, enriched with minerals present in Shungite.
Shungite water is:
- Cleansed of nearly all organic substances, including oil derivatives, pesticides, bacteria, and microorganisms
- Purified of chlorinated organic compounds, nitrites, nitrates, and excess copper, manganese, and iron
- Free of odor and taste
- Enriched with calcium and magnesium salts, along with other trace elements
Antibacterial properties
Boosts the immune system
Helps alleviate allergies, asthma, bronchitis, and kidney issues
Relieves liver, stomach, and anemia problems
Acts as an antioxidant, slowing aging
Revitalizes and harmonizes the body
Supports cellular-level regeneration
Rinsing Shungite under running water once a week is sufficient. Optionally, you can affirm it with your own intentions, place it on the ground for a few hours (avoid doing so during a full moon, as it may act chaotically), or leave it in sunlight to absorb its energy.
